My interiors are best represented at Dharamsala’s two main guest houses: Chonor and Norling, where every room tells a different story of Tibet. Every product and painting in every room has been designed by me and made locally by my team at Norbulinkga Institute. The range includes paintings, bed covers, lamps, furniture, carpets, table top and accessories all designed around Tibetan themes such as mythical animals, landscape and people. “I take elements from rural Tibetan interiors, which are usually cluttered and cold, and bring them to light and space where warmth comes from the use of wood and color in culturally sensitive themes that educate and entertain guests.”
